I basicly agree with what some people already said earlier: This song was kinda repetive. I mean it indeed started out pretty good and when the piano kicked in it sounded really nice. Then I was expecting for some other instruments to go with the tune, but it just stayed at a piano and a choir. And they were both playing/singing the same tune over and over again pretty much. You might as well cut the song at about 1 minute and turn it into a loop.
Overall 7 out of 10, 3 out of 5.

I don´t really know what to think of this to be honest. Sure it sounds pretty good. But I believe it´s actually not much more than the standard battle theme with some basic metal guitar lines under it. I could be wrong, but it just doesn´t seem all that special to me. The fanfare at the end sounded really good though. Best part of the song in my opinion, even if it was short.
Overall 7 out of 10, 3 out of 5.

It's fine man, but think of it like this. Why would I want to remake and totally ruin this awesome theme by adding more shit to it. Yeah there is the "basic" metal guitar lines under. But yeah gotta think about the drums and how I slightly rearranged it. Thanks for listening guy.

Are you sure this is from G and S? Because I think I can remember this song being featured in the original versions as well. Oh well, it doesn´t really matter. Anyway, I must say I kinda like the faster pace you gave the song. The weird synthesizer (?) sounds are less to my liking though. Still it´s a nice remix of the original version.
Overall 7 out of 10, 3 out of 5. Keep up the good work.

It's a remix of the Kanto Gym Leaders in GSC. The reason it sounds familiar is because it's slightly different from the RBY Gym Leaders.
Thanks for the review.

The first part sounds really nice, relaxing and dreamy. Much like the original I believe. Until the guitar part kicks in. I think that´s a weird addition to the song, but interesting nonetheless.
Overall 8 out of 10, 4 out of 5. I must say that I did like it. Keep up the good work.

Thanks, instead of having the flute come in afterwards. I thought it would be nice to add some drums and bass and some leads to give it more feeling I guess is what I'm trying to say.

Well, another awesome remix made by you. If I remember it well, this theme was used in many cutscenes in the game. I believe you actually altered it quite a bit though since only the intro was really recognizable for me and a few parts in between. It seems to me like you added a lot of extra dynamic to the song, which makes it sound really good.
Overall 10 out of 10, 5 out of 5. You did a great job again. I hope you´ll keep this up. Good luck with the rest of the FF9 remixes.

By the way, I´m still waiting for The Dark Messenger remix... :p
Author's Response:
Haha, Dark Messenger is hard to remix, even when it's such a simple melody =( lol

The temple of time song is not really one of my favorite Zelda songs, but you did a pretty good job here in the way you altered it. It´s great that you implented your own lyrics and turned the song into something slightly different. Also your voice is pretty good and the effects you added were interesting. All in all it made the song sound a lot different even though the melody is quite the same from the original.
Overall 9 out of 10, 5 out of 5. It was quite nice and relaxing to listen to this. Keep up the good work.

I liked this version, you added some nice effects in it. I thought it sounded a bit more dreamy than the original. Especially the flute at the beginning part and at the end was very nice. I thought the electricish piano sounded a bit less good though. I think I would´ve liked it more of it sounded like a real piano, but it was still alright.
Overall 8 out of 10, 4 out of 5. All in all I thought it was good, I liked it. Hope to hear some more of you, keep up the good work.

Yes this really sounded very dramatic, like something really really bad is about to happen. Much more dramatic than the original, but I like that personally. The banging on keyboards idea was nice and sounded well with this song.
Overall 10 out of 10, 5 out of 5. Once again, I liked it more than the original. Added this one to favorites and added you to favorite artists as well. I saw you´re gonna do FF9 remixes next, and I`m looking forward to them like I said on your newsblog. FF9 themes perhaps aren´t as good as FF8´s (in my opinion), but most of them were still awesome.
~Auz
PS: I believe I´ve listened to all your FF8 remixes now. You did a great job with them, but sadly I think you left some of my favorite themes out. Maybe I´m a Lion, boss battle theme and the ballroom music. I can imagine the ballroom would be a bit diffecult to remix with your style. But I was hoping you would´ve done the other 2 but alas :( Hope you´re still gonna do them someday :)

It was a tough choice weather to go with the Bashing Piano but it sounded so unique and really made the song have some attitude, so kept :P
I will defiantly do them remix's as a personal favor for you reviewing all my songs, well listening to them all! Thats honor. I am really pleased you like them and will take your views into mind when I compose future Remix's.
I decided on FF9 because, FF10 is tricky, and FF7 is well remixed for by a million artists, So I might not do any :P who knows. FF8 is my fave though But 10 remix's seems a lot!

Overworld theme =) Also not one of my favorite themes from FF8, but again you did a really good job with it and turned it into something nice. Beside the overworld, the song also reminds me a bit of Timber or Galbadia somehow. I can´t quite remember what they´re themes were, but I thought one of them had some similarities with this one.
The bongo´s were a really good idea by the way. I thought it also gave it a bit of jungle like feel.
Overall 9 out of 10, 5 out of 5. This really sounded like a mix of many things to me, but it was all blend together well and turned into a very nice theme. Again I thought it sounded better than the original, but it probably wouldn´t fit in the game. But that´s okay, keep up the excellent work.

Ah, the main battle theme. My favorite battle theme of all RPG games I´ve played. Battle themes in other RPG´s always sound fast paced and stuff, while this one sounds more adventurous somehow. Really liked that.
The victory fanfare at the beginning was a bit weird in my opinion. I seriously think you should have left that out, or maybe it would sound better at the ending of the song.
Overall 8 out of 10, 4 out of 5. Gave this one a bit lower as the former ones I´ve reviewed. I just thought it didn´t sound as great as the other pieces I´ve heard so far, and it seemed like you did not add that many elements of your own in this. But it was still very good nonetheless.
