This is something I can't remember. I can't remember you ever.. making a series of weekly shorts. Browsing through your flash page I can't see much of it either, but apparently your next flash was the second weekly short. I guess I must've missed something back when this came out.
Anyway, there was not much of interest in this flash. Just a short introduction to your new plans and a little joke about your laziness. The fact that you were even too lazy to record your own voice surprises me. You must have had some experience with it by now, and I doubt it would take longer than 15 minutes to record 30 seconds of your voice. In other words, you must have really, really lazy with making this one.
Overall 5 out of 10, 2 out of 5. Although it's only an introduction, it could've used a bit more effort.

I always like compilations and I think this one was alright. I liked how there seemed to be a connection between the scenes for the first part. After the FUCK YOU FANBOYS it seemed to go in a very random direction though. Like you had a few scenes left, but didn't quite know what to do with them, so you just placed them after each other.
I also liked the crazy frog song playing at the background when the flashing FUCK YOU FANBOYS screen came. Although I never liked that sort of spam with screamers and epilepsy stuff. I just never found it that funny, but I guess it was meant to be a parody and luckily the flash carried on after a while.
Anyway there were a few other scenes from your flashes that I would've liked to see in this one. Such as the clock joke from the christmas special and more pirate stuff. But I guess choosing which scenes belong in a "best of" is always a matter of opinion. I think you included most of the good scenes anyway.
Overall 7 out of 10, 3 out of 5. Not much special, but a good compilation.

I remember this one clearly. Fist submission of 2007. Didn't you get "first submission" two years in a row?
Anyway, this flash was pretty good actually. I don't know if you have drawn the space ship yourself, but it looked very good. Bahamut walking to the back and front is something that I hadn't seen from you yet either. Most of your movies were more 2D-ish. I know it's not so difficult to do, but it added some depth to the graphics. So that was a good point.
I also thought the voice acting was done better than usual for some reason, especially from you. The guy with the Dream Theater shirt was still hard to understand though. I guess his microphone really sucked back then or something. In the Christmas cartoon his voice was of a low quality as well. Much lower than the other ones at least.
Overall 8 out of 10, 4 out of 5. I think this is one of my favorites from you thus far.

Indeed I did. I was victorious for 2007 and 2008. :D
Yeah, I drew that pink blimp myself. As for the voice acting, just looking back at this, I thought the voices I did were rather poor. I just sounded like I was bored for most of this flash. XP Also, Crackman's microphone was piss poor when he did the voices for this and A Bahamut's Christmas Tale.

Lol. So once again some planet got destroyed, and this time because Bahamut opened a present from Afro_Stud which contained a bomb of some sort? This is like the third time already, Bahamut should really be more careful :p It also makes me wonder how he could survive all those times.
Anyway, this is your first attempt at drawing some characters yourself. I thought they looked decent. Not that great, but I doubt I could do much better. I thought Graham was actually drawn best for some reason. There were a couple of other things that looked pretty good in this flash. The christmas hats were very nicely drawn and so were the couch and the presents. The animation of the snow outside looked good as well. Most of the animation was done well actually.
I think this was also one of your funnier flashes thus far. I liked the clock joke with the small explosion and Bahamut going: "Oh...". I haven't seen the other flash you referred to with that, but it was funny nonetheless. Bahamut throwing Satan out on the street was nice as well :p
Overall 8 out of 10, 4 out of 5.

Bahamut is a dragon, he can survive explosions. :D

I liked this flash. I still don't see that much improvement to the drawings yet, but I can see that you've gotten more experience with animating by now. Everything just seemed to look more subtle and smooth than in your earlier flashes. Also I did still see several white borders around pictures. It's just a small thing, but it looks a bit ugly. Again if you ever want to improve this flash, just at least try to get rid of those.
Anyway, I think Bahamut's voice was of a low quality. Soundwise that is. I guess due to the crappy microphone you had back then. Too bad, but it's still better to use your own voice than Speakonia voices.
I think it's nice that you gave a link to the poorly drawn stickguy's youtube vids :p It's like: Go here to tell him that he is an ass. I had to laugh at that short break. But as Fro already suggested, you should have perhaps added some sounds to Bahamuts Mega Flare attack.
That's about it. What I didn't really get by the way was why the Earth was once again being destroyed. I guess this was one was just because of randomness. I doubt the secret that Afro was wearing a wig was that groundbreaking that the entire Earth exploded. It was obvious that it was not his natural hair, right? ;)
Overall 8 out of 10, 4 out of 5. One of the better ones I've seen from you so far.

Author's Response:
The earth couldn't handle the fact that Afro's hair was a wig so it went KABOOM! :P

Normally I kinda like games like these where you have to puzzle your way around a house to escape or find something. However, if they are so illogical that you simply have to use a walkthrough to figure everything out, the fun is ruined for me. And this was probably one of the worst cases I have ever seen.
After finding the book and a key, I did get up to the point where I found the trapdoor in the room with the Christmas tree. I also noticed you could turn the arms of the clock and I did get the idea that you had to turn the arms of the clock to resemble some number in the book. But this is were I got stuck. I just had to look at the walkthrough and I am surprised at how you expect us to solve the clock puzzle.
There are twelve numbers written in the book of which some were 10 digits long. How do you expect us to pick the right numbers from them? You could literally make hundreds of combinations out of those numbers. Sure I see that the numbers one and two come back often, but even they are written in combinations like: 11, 12, 21, 12 and 22. From that I have to understand that the large arm should point at 1 and the small arm should point at 2? And then I have to understand that I should write down the time that's given on the smaller clock to the right in the form of 3:6? And then I have to understand that this has something to do with the towers of hanoi toy? Because the game didn't really notify me that anything happened when I turned the clock right, so I'd probably still be confused and kept trying other combinations (and expect a key to pop out once I do it right).
Then it said in the walkthrough that I should adjust the colors of the tower of hanoi to match the toy on the left. I don't even see how I could have gotten the color combination. The most nearby toy has four colors, not three as it said in the walkthrough. It had green, yellow, red and blue. No order could be derived from it either as far as I could see. So this would have just turned into a guessing game with 27 possibilities.
Once you got the key the game was pretty much over. Which was very disappointing since apparently the few puzzles this game had could only be solved with the help of walkthrough. Or the one in 10,000 chance that you happen to do it right before you get bored.
There were still a few positive things though. I thought the graphics looked quite nice. I also liked the idea of ... being able to wake up your parents if you pressed the wrong stuff. This gave it a bit of an extra challenge.
Overall 5 out of 10, 2 out of 5. It could've been way better if it had not been so illogical.

I can not really remember what exactly happened back when this was submitted. Too bad you didn't really provide an explanation on how it was your fault and all (or how people thought it was your fault).
Anyway this was a pretty nice submission in my opinion. Lots of jokes in this one of which some were quite funny. I think "But you like pink!" could have been funnier if you hadn't used Speakonia though. It fell a bit flat this way due to the lack of emotion in a Speakonia voice. The funniest part was probably the email checking. Especially koreamans email was nice (and typically koreaman) :p
For the rest it still could have been better drawingswise, but at least you tried. And it created some funny momens which were perhaps unintentional. Like the bed being much longer than Bahamut was. Which makes me wonder how tall Bahamut is supposed to be in your flashes by the way. In the FF games he is usually at least five times bigger than any of the characters, but in your flashes he seems like a midget occasionally.
Overall 8 out of 10, 4 out of 5. It was nicely done.
~Auz
Author's Response:
Sizes vary in these flashes so Bahamut's height is never really determined. Also, everyone hated Bahamut for not traveling around the world as he should have done.

I liked how Bahamut tossed his MP3 player around the earth a couple of times, then around the solar system and then right into the sun after hearing the Spice Girls :p Even funnier how it was not (only) the MP3 player that was destroyed, but (also) the sun. I guess it must've been made out of Gameboy Classic material or something.
Anyway I also liked the voices in this cartoon. Ever since I went from your first flash upwards with reviewing, this is the first one I encountered with you using your own voice. And the voice-acting is actually better then I remember it to be. Afro_Studs voice was also nicely done.
Overall 7 out of 10, 3 out of 5. I enjoyed this little cartoon.

That MP3 player moment was plain silly. Then again, so are my flashes in general. :P

This was a good one in my opinion. I liked the voices Muffin and Afrostar had. Along with that it was kinda funny that Bahamut was pirate talking with Speakonia. The pirate sentences he used were quite nicely written as well. I know I would do pretty terrible with scriptwriting for talk like a pirate day.
For the rest I liked the backgroundtune again. Couldn't quite make out which song it was from which FF game though. I think one from somewhere between FF2 and FF5 although it also sounded somewhat like FF9 music.
Overall 8 out of 10, 4 out of 5. A very nice tribute to talk like a pirate day. I think from all your earlier flashes, this was one of my favorites thus far.

I thought I had credits there but it's "It's Difficult Standing on Both Feet, Isn't it?" from FFVII. :)

This was a nice alternative ending to your other flash. Too bad we still saw no Mega Flares, epic battles with overdramatic music or anything fancy with special effects.
Anyway, I thought the sound quality was very low with the sneezing sound. As a matter of fact it didn't sound much like a sneezing sound at all through my speakers. I read in your reply to Haggards review that you got this sound from findsounds. Odd that there wasn't any other one of a much better quality.
Overall 5 out of 10, 2 out of 5. A little better than the other one, but not enough to make me vote higher. Still it was a nice idea to make a second movie with sort of a deja-vu element.
~Auz
Author's Response:
I could have sneezed myself, especially when I caught a cold that day but luck was against me even more when I couldn't even sneeze at all when I wanted to. :(
