It seems surfing requires a lot of experience in order to do it very well. I haven't tried surfing before and I never will since my skin has a bad reaction with sea water. :(
As for the DVDs, I don't know what I can recommend to get out of your want list as I haven't seen any of them. I only get DVDs of movies I'm really itching to watch like Star Wars original trilogy in May. I'm more focused on getting so many CDs. O_O
Indeed, I think it does require a lot of experience. And ouch, I can imagine it´s a bit annoying that you can never go to the beach. Or at least, can never swim when you´re at the beach.
And any movie recommendation is fine with me. Doesn´t necessarily have to be out of that list. Star Wars I´ve already seen all the movies and they´re on TV here very often. The whole series has been repeated at least twice this year already. So that would be a waste of money.

A shame that you didn't enjoy the surfing as much as you hoped. I guess I'll stick to the surf balance sim that makes the tours around student unions and similar places. Perhaps a good few hours on that before going "next time"
Also, I'd certainly recommend Watchmen (released on the 27th), Role Models and Rocknrolla.
Three of the best films I've seen for various reasons. If you've not seen Tropic Thunder or Dark Knight yet, why the hell not?!

I thought Watchmen wasn´t out on DVD yet, so I didn´t look for it. But it´s a movie I deffinatly would like to watch someday. Even Spoony was very positive about it. Next time I´m at the store I´ll be sure to see if I can find it.
Also heard good stories about Tropic Thunder, but not sure if I really want to spend money on it. Might wanna wait until it´s on TV.
And as for the Dark Knight: I´ve seen it in the cinema twice and already got the DVD from my girlfriend recently :) Awesome movie indeed.
The other two you mentioned I´ve never heard about. I´ll check around sites like imdb to see if they´re any good.
