Clockday aftermath...

Ah yes, back in those years we still had Clockday aftermaths on the 16th of August which sometimes resulted in another 100 save points on top of the 500+ which were already collected on Clockday.

I think this submission was a lot better than your second Clockday flash. It contained more humor and it clearly had more effort put into it. I like the 'NO NEED TO POINT OUT THE OBVIOUS' comment from the "crowd" and the scene with the Fulps.

The drawings could've been better, but if I remember correctly you do improve on that in your later flashes.

Overall 7 out of 10, 3 out of 5. I kinda liked this little short.

Nah, that "crowd" was me. :P

Not the most interesting Bahamut flash

Ah Clockday 2007. One of the best Clockdays I can remember.

This wasn't a very interesting submission from you, but it still beats about 98% of the other Clockday flashes that get submitted every year.

I just wish you had shown us how Strawberry Clock was gonna kick your ass. That might've added some more action and it could have been hilarious if done the right way.

Overall 5 out of 10, 2 out of 5. Short review, but there is just not much to say about this flash.

SBC didn't kick my ass again. ;)

MEDIC MEDIC FUCKING MEDIC HELL YEAH!!!!!!

I honestly think this is one of the best clockday submissions I've seen yesterday. Even though I knew you were working on this, knew exactly what it was gonna be, the end result still made me laugh when I saw it for the first time.

I mostly liked how Bahamut was moving all spastic with his arms and his eye turning all red and strawberry just stood there doing nothing. I would've made strawberry more black-ish myself, but it's fine this way as well. The background was good, but you just took a picture from somewhere and planted it there which is a bit lazy. I might've liked it more if you drew something yourself, but then again if that doesn't turn out well the flash might not be so good anymore.

Overall 10 out of 10, 5 out of 5. Best 100th flash ever. Congrats!

~Auz

kinggila responds:

Actually, the background is from the TF2 map the video took place in.

Fantastic

Fantastic! I agree with Coop, the build up was great and I read your "Can you guys imagine what kind of things would do StrawberryClock if he was the reaper?" comment and I was summing up like a million things in my head as to what could happen and what would StrawberryClock do and what would be the consequences and what would his grandmother think about it.

And then the plot twist came and EVERYTHING was turned upside down 0.0

When the credits rolled I swear I had to wipe away a tear. Great choice of music there, I wouldn't see any other song more fitting than YMCA by The Village People.

Also I was happy and proud to beta test this for you.

Overall 10 out of 10, 5 out of 5. An excellent piece of work. I don't see why this submissions hasn't been getting straight 10's and a blue score. It's as if people are forgetting to vote 5 today.

This has been one of the weakest Clock Days of all NG history. I remember 1 year ago, all the 50 flashes that were in the flash portal, were all purple.

Thanks for your review ^^

Oh God

I can still remember that Leekspin fad. God that was annoying. In every single commercial block on TV here there was some commercial for the Leekspin ringtone for your mobile. It started to drive me crazy after a while.

But putting that aside, I think you made a nice parody of it here. It's a very nice idea for a follow-up of your Clock Day series. I like what you did with the backgrounds as well. I suppose you didn't draw those yourself though and just took them from somewhere, but it looked nice nonetheless. Mario's lip-syncing was well done as well.

Overall 9 out of 10, 5 out of 5. A very nice Clock Day submission.

Leekspin is one of the better internet memes out there IMO. Much better than sparta and over 9000.

Not bad

It had some funny moments. I liked how Graham threw everyone out of the house like that. Afro_Stud flying towards the sun was interesting. I thought there was perhaps gonna be some episode about that soon, but browsing through your next flashes there doesn't seem to be anything about it.

I would've loved to see what that button did by the way. I think it might've been fun if a house-breaking party broke loose with loud music and such. It would've certainly added some more action to this flash which might've made it more interesting.

Overall 7 out of 10, 3 out of 5. Not your best piece of work, but it had its moments.

~Auz

kinggila responds:

Oh yeah, the sun and the universe domination. It could have worked but the structure has to be better. It can't work just throwing it out in the middle of another movie.

I've seen better from you

Definitely not your strongest piece of work. I don't know what exactly the idea behind this flash was. I suppose you merely wanted to give Afro and Pokelord a shot at voice-acting, is that correct? Because for the rest the jokes and such are quite similar to your former flashes and it doesn't create any new storylines either.

Anyway I think the (different) voices were not bad for this one. Afro did a nice job in my opinion, although his voice doesn't really fit the Afro_Stud I know from your flash series. I think Pokelord did a good job as Graham. He sounded much like you actually. Also, it was kinda funny to hear Graham laugh like a little girl near the end (tee hee hee).

Overall 6 out of 10, 3 out of 5. Like I said, not your best piece of work. I think it's good that you didn't turn this into another mini-series. It didn't have a lot of potential as far as I can see.

~Auz

kinggila responds:

Yeah, this was mostly a try out to see how the two do with their voice acting.

Deleted scenes?

I'm not sure, was this the last part of the Universe Domination series? If so then yeah I am indeed a little bit disappointed that the series ends out of the blue with a deleted scenes flash. I expected more of a follow up episode of part 3/3 where it would be explained why the series came to an end.

Anyway, about the deleted scenes - I think the scenes are nicely made and quite funny, but I agree with all the reasons you've stated for not including them. Both episodes would've become a bit too long indeed and the scenes were not all that relevant to the plot.

Except maybe for the part were Bahamut/Satan from the year 3000 came to tell Bahamut not to blow up planets so that Futurama will exist. It would've been a suitable ending to the series, but since it was Satan in disguise I guess it's still uncertain whether Bahamut will really stop because of the warning or whether he has other reasons to stop blowing planets. If there is some other reason, laziness would be my guess :p

Overall 6 out of 10, 3 out of 5. If this is the end (again I'm not sure), then I gotta say that Universe Domination was quite an enjoyable series and probably your best. I just hope the series you've created after this are just as good (or even better).

~Auz

kinggila responds:

Yep, the end of the original continuity of Universe Domination. If I redo it, it'll be a hell lot better.

That was unexpected

Lol :p Now that was an unexpected twist. I was pretty sure it was gonna be something like:"I, Bahamut, am actually... Bahamut!" and then Bahamut would tell Satan to fuck off or something. But you're actually Fred Flinstone wow :o Who would've guessed?

Anyway, this was a nice little short again. I'm surprised to read that you actually did Satan's voice for this flash. I didn't even notice any differences while watching to be honest, so good job on that I guess.

Overall 7 out of 10, 3 out of 5.

~Auz

kinggila responds:

7 is the best score for this flash. :)

Good episode

Cool a main menu! To be honest I think it looked pretty good, except that the colours of the buttons didn't match that well with the fire-ish background. Orange and Red vs Blue and Grey are very opposing colours you know. But at least the buttons were clearly visible this way.

Anyway, I thought this was another good episode although I thought the former ones were funnier. There didn't seem to be that many jokes in this one. It was just about Bahamut fixing some stuff from the former episodes. I found it odd how Bahamut didn't mess up the timeline in such a way that everything would be different when he got back to his own time. The kind of stuff you usually see in time-travel stories. But I guess that would go a little too deep for this kind of series.

Overall 8 out of 10, 4 out of 5. Good episode, although not the best of the series in my honest opinion. I'm curious about Bahamut's next target since I can't remember you ever releasing a new chapter after this. I suppose I'll find out what happens in Mars is next (4/3) :)

~Auz

kinggila responds:

You'll be disappointed with the next episode. :(
