[Kirby's Dreamland I]

Please make some more

Graphics: Well older sprites usually don´t look that good, but these were okay. You should find some colored backgrounds and sprites I think though. It was nice that there were some (short) scenes you drawed yourself. Those drawings were very good by the way, maybe you should make a drawn movie next time instead of using sprites.

Sounds/Music: These were great. Very good voice-acting, very funny voices sometimes too. The music was also excellent, I liked the two songs at the end. Anyway, sounds and music were the best parts of this flash in my opinion.

Interactivity: Too bad there is no interactivity in this flash at all, except for the playbutton in the beginning. You could add a scene-selection in this, the movie is quite long. Also a credits button and a quality changer perhaps.

Overall 8 out of 10, 4 out of 5. I enjoyed watching this movie. You should deffinatly turn this into a series, but do add a better story then. It all seemed a little random in this one. Anyway, I hope this´ll get an award. The score is pretty good, so there´s a big chance it´ll at least get a daily fifth. Keep up the excellent work and please make some more.

[The Island of Time]

Pretty good

This is the first time I see a Prince of Persia movie and this is a pretty good one in my opinion. The animation and the special effects looked really good. The drawings were decent, the island at the beginning looked excellent, the rest wasn´t really that great, but wasn´t horrible either. The sounds and music were not much special, but they were alright. You just used some swordsounds and songs of the game itself which was okay. As for the rest; the quality changer is nice, so I gave some points for interactivity.

A few bad things:
-The fight at the end was too short. I was expecting a much longer fight and much more spectacular. Kayleena (Empress of Time) didn´t seemed to play an important role in this story. I wouldn´t know that she was the Empress if I didn´t had the game myself, so I would´ve been a little bit confused at the end. Try the make the final battle longer (or slower, it all went pretty quick) and do some more things with the Dahaka at the end. I know he took the prince medaillon, but I can imagine other people think "WTF? why did he pushed him?".

-You should work a bit on the background. The walls look to.. perfect, you know? In the game, most walls are cracked or have some plants grown over them. Also the throne room is much more decorated in the game. At least add some nice paintings on the wall.

Overall 7 out of 10, 3 out of 5. It was a pretty nice movie, but it still needs a little bit more work though. Anyway keep up the good work and I hope to see some more.

Not very interesting

Graphics: Well the graphics aren´t really that impressive. It was just some kinda slideshow which is a bit boring. There wasn´t really much animation in this except for that clock that was ´dancing´ a bit (it was more like moving from the left to the right). I liked the screen that looked a bit like a television, but was the only good thing. Try to add some more animation in this and try to draw things yourself instead of using pictures.

Sounds / Music: The song is pretty decent, I like it actually. It doesn´t have anything to do with the movie though which is too bad. There are also no sounds in this, but that´s okay, they wouldn´t fit anyway.

Interactivity: At least it has a play and replay button. The interactivity is decent for a movie. You could always add menu-screens with scene-selection and credits and quality changers stuff like that, but it´s fine the way the way it is now. I wouldn´t add anything more when it comes to this.

Overall 4 out of 10, 1 out of 5. Well I can´t say you did a good job here. Just putting some pictures and a song together and that´s it. It was not interesting to watch at all, it wasn´t funny and it doesn´t have any point. Also there isn´t really an end in this, it just suddenly stops somewhere halfway. Hope you´ll do better next time.

[Animal School: Reindeer]

I liked this one

A very nice movie. I didn´t expected much when I saw the filesize, but this is probably the best flash I´ve seen with a size of under 100 Kb. I´m still wondering how you could get it so low. It does have some backgroundmusic and voices which usually makes the movie a lot bigger (most movies with music at least have 300 Kb).

Anyway, even though it´s a good movie, I still got a few complaints. First off, I think it would be handy if there were some subtitles in this. I had to listen very carefully to hear what was said. There are probably a couple of people who have more trouble with it then me, so it would be nice if it had subtitles. You have to make the screen a little bit bigger then of course, otherwise they would take nearly half of the screen. Second, I dunno if you did this on purpose, but there is snow falling in the classroom. I doesn´t bother me that much, but you might want to change that. Third, well the movie is a little bit short. Probably the main reason why it got an "average" score. If you made your movies longer, it would probably get some very good scores.

Overall 7 out of 10, 3 out of 5. Well even though it was made for small children I still liked watching it. Nice to see something without violence and other stuff you usually see here. I hope you´ll submit a lot more of these movies. Keep up the good work and good luck with the rest of the series.

Looked good, but too short

Graphics: These were pretty nice and I liked the style a lot. The drawings looked pretty cool and the animation was very good as well. Still, it would be nice if you added a background I think. Just a white background is kinda boring.

Sounds/Music: The music was not bad. I don´t say I really liked it, but it was decent. There were no sounds in this, which was too bad. The movie could use a few sounds I think. Like when that little guy is punched away for example. Maybe when you press the play button (the cross) on the menuscreen as well. The song kept on playing when you watched the movie again by the way. It doesn´t matter that much though, but you might want to change that.

Interactivity: Well the menuscreen also looked pretty good. Some nice colors you used, which gave it a nice lay-out. Too bad there wasn´t that much there except a play button in the shape of a cross (which was a bit weird in my opinion) and some text that is pretty hard to read. Perhaps you should change the color of the text a bit so that it is more clear.

Overall 6 out of 10, 3 out of 5. Well in the beginning it looked like a very good movie in my opinion, and I was suprised that it got such an average score, but I can see why now. The movie is just way too short. Really too bad, cause it could´ve been a great movie if you´d only made it longer. It could also use a more original story. I´ve seen (too) many submissions with a guy that goes insane and kills people cause of nothing. Anyway, I hope to see a longer movie from you next time. If you keep the drawings and style the same, it should become an awesome movie.

[Gaia Destruction]

Very good

Graphics: They weren´t perfect, but they were very good still. The drawings looked good and you used nice colors. Really had a nice effect on the movie. There´s one things that could improve a bit I think and that is that you could´ve made some different angels. They all looked the same, which is alright, but at least a few different ones (like angel generals or something) would´ve been better in my opinion. Anyway, as for the rest, there isn´t much to complain about the graphics.

Sounds: Well I´m usually not a big fan of opera, but I like it if it´s a bit spectacular like in this one (know what I mean?). The second part of the song was also not bad, but I wouldn´t mind if it was kept a bit opera-ish. It´s a bit hard to change it if somebody else made it though. And also, this movie is completely based in the song, so just keep it this way =) Anyway, what I noticed in this movie was that there were no further sounds in this. It doesn´t need that many sounds, but a few at some places would be nice I think.

Interactivity: I wasn´t really impressed by the menuscreen. There was only a play button there with some info, but no further options. You could add a scene selection. Luckily there was a pause button and a quality changer on top of the screen. It was pretty cool that when you pressed pause, the special effect still kept going. Anyway, I think it only needs a scene selection when it comes to interactivity and maybe the menuscreen needs a better background (just black is a bit boring).

Overall: 8 out of 10, 4 out of 5. I think it was a very nice movie to watch. One thing that I didn´t liked though was that the exact same scene with "Save yourself a penny for the ferryman" returned about five times. Twice is okay, but five times is a bit much. You could´ve made things a little bit different there. Anyway, congrats with your daily first award. It fully deserved it in my opinion. Keep up the excellent work.

Pretty good movie

This was a very nice movie in my opinion. It reminded me of the black mages series. The styles are kinda the same. Anyway, everything looked pretty good, the drawings were nice, the animation was very good and I liked the backgroundmusic in this one. I think there is still some room for improvement though.

First off, a menuscreen would've been nice or at least a replay button at the end so that the movie doesn't keep on playing over and over again, like it was now. It isn't really something that it absolutely has to have, but it's just nice. Maybe you can add a change quality button somewhere at the menuscreen. Second, perhaps you could've made it a bit longer and with a storyline in it and with a few more characters. It's a nice movie to watch, but it doesn't make much sense now. You could keep the pointless violence in it, but you could tell us a bit more about that guy with the knife. Third, you should've added a background instead of a white screen. It looks much better with a good background. I was thinking about a dark alley in a city or maybe something completely different like a park on a sunny day.

Overall 8 out of 10, 4 out of 5. Well I'm sure this'll pass judgement and I think it'll get a pretty good score. I think somewhere close to 3.50, but we'll see. Anyway, it was a nice movie to watch, but it could still use a few improvements. I do hope to see more from you soon, maybe you can turn this into a series. Keep up the good work.

Amazing

Graphics: These were simply awesome. Everything looks really good and very detailed. Even the grass and the hairs of the bigfoots, which were probably very diffecult to draw, looked great. It must´ve taken loads of time and patience to draw everything like that. The animation in this was also excellent, the moving grass, the wind, the flowing water, everything looked very realistic. I don´t think there´s anything that could be improved when it comes to graphics.

Sounds/Music: I´m very impressed about the sounds. I especially liked that you could hear if something was close or far away. Like when the BigFoot was running and shouting and such. That was very cool, most submissions don´t really have that effect, even in the top 50, you don´t see many movies with that. Also the sounds suited the movie of course, there wasn´t a moment were I thought "That´s not how it sounds in reality". I also liked the small things you´ve added, like birds and such. That somehow gives me the feeling that I am also in that forest. There are very few movies were I actually have a feeling that I am in the movie as well, so that´s a big plus. The only small thing that wasn´t right in my opinion is at the end, when the littleFoot throws the rock at Bitey´s head. The sound came a bit too early. It´s just a small thing, but it looked a bit weird. As for the music, well that was great as well. Really suits the movie.

Interactivity: Well I have to admit, I would like a bit more interactivity. It only has buttons to change the quality, a replay button at the end and some links to websites. I would like to see a scene selection. I mean, the movie is quite long, so it would be nice if it had one. Maybe you can put the story of the Bitey somewhere as well (and links to your older movies). A mini game would be very cool, but that probably takes way to much filesize. The filesize is already huge right now, so that´s probably not the best idea. Anyway, I hope it will have a bit more interactivity, but on the other hand, I can imagine if you don´t feel like adding more stuff (it´s currently the best movie on Newgrounds anyway).

Overall 10 out of 10, 5 out of 5. Well this is actually the second submission on Newgrounds that get´s a 10 from me. I wanted to give it a 9, but I was thinking, if this doesn´t deserve a 10, then what does? Anyway, I can barely wait till LittleFoot 2 comes out. Ow and I would like to congratulade you with all the awards you´ve won. I´m quite suprised it didn´t won a review crew pick. Keep up the excellent work and good luck with making LittleFoot 2.

[Metroid Tribute]

Not bad

Well it was not bad, but it still needs a bit more work at some places. First of all, you're gonna have to improve the graphics a bit. The way Samus, Ridley and Kraid were drawn looked pretty good, but the animation could use some work, cause the way Samus runned looked a bit weird. The way Ridley was flying reminded me of a bat or a fly, perhaps you could make his wings move a little bit slower. Also the background doesn't look that good, since almost everything is grey with a few black lines. Try to use a bit more color and add a few more details like rocks, wires, plants, machines and other stuff you can find in Metroid games.

Second: A bit more music during the movie would be nice or at least some different music. I heard something at the background all the time, but I can't really call that music. Try to add some different songs cause it made the movie a little bit boring.

Third: A few small things. I didn't really liked the way the menuscreen looked (talking about the second one). It were just a few pictures of the Metroid games thrown together. I would prefer one pic instead of so many. I didn't liked the way the play button looked either, I guess you did that so that it was clear, but if you had just used one pic, the button wouldn't need so many colors. Anyway, the next small thing, in the beginning, it said something like ananimation. The wrighting looked bad and animation was spelled wrong. It isn't really that important, but it just doesn't look nice.

Overall 6 out of 10, 3 out of 5. Well it was not bad like I said, but it simply needs some more work. I see it has quite a good score, so you're gonna make more of this, right? I think it can become a good series if you work a bit more on it. Oh and another thing, try to make the fight scenes look a bit better, cause the fight between Ridley and Samus didn't looked very exciting. Ridley didn't even fought back. Anyway, keep it up and good luck with your series.

[Joan and Mark]

Great work

Graphics: The graphics were just awesome. The animation is very good, everything was well drawn and everything looked very good altogether. I especially liked the style in this. Only the backgrounds were a bit empty sometimes, while they were running in the desert for example, but that didn't really bothered me.

Music/Sounds: Very good music that suited this movie pretty well. Maybe it could use a few sounds, but that could also ruin this movie, so maybe not. If you just kept it the way it is now, it would be fine with me.

Violence: well alright, a little violence at some places, but not too much. That was good, since too much violence would probably ruin this movie. I didn't even noticed that guy lost his arm when I first watched it, until I saw the end and then watched it again. That suprised me a bit, since main characters usually don't lose arms and legs, but on the other hand, this isn't really a serious movie.

Interactivity: Well this could use a bit more interactivity. Just a good looking menuscreen with an introduction about Mark and Joan on it would be nice. Also credits, the play button and stuff like that.

Overall 9 out of 10, 5 out of 5. This movie really has everything, good graphics, nice music, violence, humor, you did a very good job. I must say I liked this one more then the other movie you made, the maxwell edison story or something. I don't know why, probably cause of the style, I just like the way everything is drawn more in this movie then in the other one. Anyway, I hope to see a lot more awesome movies from you, keep up the excellent work.
